Mars47 is a coastal space-program strategy game. You build a working base, develop energy and industry, research propulsion, qualify engines and work toward launches and orbital missions. The early campaign begins on Earth, with roads and facilities that make later spaceflight possible.

No. Your program starts at Coastal Sector 47 on Earth. The journey toward Mars is the setting and ambition; the first five chapters focus on the infrastructure, research and industrial capacity behind a space program.

Follow the first mission directive: grade 25 m of connected Dirt Road, build Headquarters, then the Construction Lab, Residential Housing and a Solar Farm. Let each required building finish. The beginner tutorial explains the sequence and the common access problems.

Research is only one gate. A facility can also need a later chapter, a higher Construction Lab level or another operational building. For example, the Engine Testing Facility needs Chapter 3, Construction Lab Level 2, a Component Factory and two tanks in addition to Propulsion Engine II.

Inspect the selected site and its access marker. Check road connection, construction queue, staff and power. A placed building or a project waiting in the queue does not yet count as an operational facility.

A Solar Farm adds installed generation. A Grid Battery Station provides storage support. Batteries do not generate the capacity required for the Chapter 5 100 MW objective.

No. Use the current mission directive and the bottlenecks in your base to prioritize. Unlocking battery storage or wind generation does not make both buildings mandatory for Chapter 2.

Housing establishes capacity, while operating facilities consume staff. New factories can require many workers. Inspect the staffing panel and expand capacity before commissioning several demanding facilities at once.

Visible topics can be previews of future capability. Check the chapter requirement, earlier research, Research Center level and any physical prerequisites. Energy 3 needs Chapter 5 and a Level 2 Research Center; Rocket Propellant I needs two operational tanks.

Yes, after upgrading the Research Center to Level 2. Level 1 has one live research lane. Level 2 has two and also enables the advanced research needed in Chapters 4 and 5.

It is available from Chapter 2 after Propulsion Engine I and is required in Chapter 3. Completing it early does not bypass the chapter and building requirements for the Engine Testing Facility.

Yes. The research catalog uses Energy 3, while the Chapter 5 mission describes Energy Systems III: High-Voltage Grid Integration. It is the same research step.

Each firing uses five units of propellant and one precision component. The Component Factory supplies components. An active Engine Testing Facility upgrade suspends firings until the work finishes.

It needs Construction Lab Level 3, an operational Logistics Hub, Rocket Propellant II and Cooling & Liquid Systems Engineering I. Check both research branches and completion of the physical hub.

No. It checks installed generation capacity. Reach 100 MW in the mission’s capacity counter, build and road-connect the Western Grid Station, then fund and finish the separate Western Grid Connection.

The farm purchase is $2.5 million. The station has no separate purchase cost, while final grid connection costs $1.25 million. Generation, roads, staffing support and any upgrades are additional, so $3.75 million is not the total cost of every possible Chapter 5 build plan.

The opening five chapters establish the program’s foundation. Launch infrastructure and the first rocket flight are later campaign milestones. An engine hot-fire is a ground qualification test, not a launch.
