MARS47 · PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
Effective July 24, 2026
The short version
Mars47 — From Earth to Space to Mars for Mac does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, cross-site tracking, or telemetry. The current Mac build does not transmit personal data to the publisher or to third parties. The separate Mars47 website sends information only when a visitor deliberately submits its feedback form.
Who is responsible and how to contact us
Mars47 is the service name. The person or entity that publishes Mars47 is the controller of the website feedback described below. For privacy questions or to exercise a privacy right, email admin@mars47.com.
Local game data
The game stores campaign progress, preferences, and optional feedback text locally in its macOS App Sandbox container. This information stays on the Mac unless the player deliberately copies it through an operating-system feature.
Local data is retained until it is overwritten or the app's associated application data is removed. Starting a new campaign replaces campaign progress. Removing Mars47 and its associated application data deletes the remaining local information.
Website feedback
The Mac App Store build does not configure a feedback service endpoint. Text entered in the in-game feedback form is stored only in a local outbox and is not sent to the publisher.
When a visitor selects Send Feedback on this website, the selected category, rating, message, submission time, and a random submission identifier are sent through the website's Hostinger server and authenticated Hostinger email service to admin@mars47.com. The message does not ask for a name, account, or email address. Visitors should not enter sensitive personal information.
The publisher uses this information to deliver, review, investigate, and act on product feedback. The legal basis in the EEA and UK is the visitor's consent, given by confirming the notice and choosing Send Feedback. Consent may be withdrawn for future processing by emailing admin@mars47.com; withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before it.
If email delivery is temporarily unavailable, the website stores the submission in that browser's local storage and retries later instead of claiming it was delivered. The outbox is limited to 20 notes. Notes older than 30 days are discarded the next time the website is visited, and clearing the site's browser data deletes them immediately.
Website operation and technical data
Hostinger hosts the website and handles its authenticated email delivery. Hostinger and the website server may process technical request information such as IP address, browser and device details, timestamps, requested URLs, delivery status, and security diagnostics. This information is used to provide and secure the website, prevent abuse, rate-limit feedback, and investigate operational failures. The legal basis in the EEA and UK is the publisher's legitimate interest in operating and protecting the service.
The feedback endpoint transforms the requesting IP address into a keyed pseudonymous rate-limit token; the IP address is not included in the feedback email. Rate-limit tokens expire for rate-limit decisions after 15 minutes. A daily cleanup removes their server files after one day and delivered-submission tokens after three days. Hostinger may retain separate security and access logs under its own service settings and legal obligations.
The Mars47 website does not use advertising cookies, behavioral analytics, cross-site tracking, or profiling. It uses a service worker for offline asset caching and local storage only for feedback that a visitor deliberately submits but that cannot yet be delivered.
Recipients and international processing
Feedback and the technical data needed to deliver it are disclosed only to the publisher and service providers acting on the publisher's behalf, principally Hostinger. Information may be processed in countries other than the visitor's country. Where applicable, the publisher relies on the provider's data-processing terms and legally recognized transfer safeguards.
Security
The website limits feedback requests by origin, size, rate, and permitted fields; uses keyed pseudonymous anti-abuse tokens and duplicate protection; and sends mail through authenticated, encrypted SMTP. The mailbox credential and server state are stored outside the public website directory. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Retention
Delivered feedback emails are retained for up to 12 months, then deleted, unless a shorter period is requested or a longer period is necessary to resolve a security incident, establish or defend legal claims, or meet a legal obligation. Browser outbox and server anti-abuse retention are described above. Local game data remains until the player replaces it or removes the app's associated data.
Your privacy rights
Depending on location, a visitor may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a portable copy of personal information, and to object to certain processing. EEA and UK visitors may also withdraw consent and complain to their local data-protection supervisory authority. The publisher will verify and respond to requests as required by applicable law. Requests can be sent to admin@mars47.com.
US state residents may also have rights to know, correct, or delete covered personal information and to receive equal service when exercising a right. Where permitted, an authorized agent may submit a request, and a visitor may appeal a denied request by replying to the decision email. Mars47 does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, use it for targeted advertising, or use sensitive personal information beyond a permitted service purpose, so there is no sale, sharing, targeted-advertising, or sensitive-data opt-out to submit. Mars47 does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects through automated processing.
Children's privacy
Mars47 is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. The Mac build does not transmit personal data. The website feedback form should not be used by a child to submit personal information. If the publisher learns that such information was submitted by a child without the authorization required by applicable law, it will be deleted. A parent or guardian can contact admin@mars47.com.
Network access and future features
The current Mac release has no network entitlement, online account, cloud save, advertising network, analytics provider, or social SDK. If a future release adds an online feature, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before that release is distributed.
